Yvonne Cartwright
Bindery Department – Ripon, Wisconsin
At Walsworth, I am a trim/fold operator. I set up a trimmer and operate it to trim covers, set up the folders according to how many folds the item gets and operate the folders.
I am the first step to creating a book in the production area. My day starts by prioritizing what needs to be worked on and in what order. Usually, my days are busy from the time I start work until I leave at the end of the day.
I have worked at Walsworth for 25 years.
I was attracted to the printing industry by my grandfather. He worked in the printing industry, and I was curious as to how a book was made.
What I love most about my working here is my job is interesting and there is never a dull moment.
If I had a personalized coffee mug at work, it would say “Warning: Approach with caution! I have not had my CAFFEINE yet!”
I want to come to work every day because I enjoy my job and the people I work with.
Outside the workplace, I enjoy horseback riding, reading, card games and spending time with family and friends. My family is great.
I feel Walsworth has contributed to my future through its offering of benefits and the 401k program.
I give back to my community by doing volunteer work. I am involved in an outreach program that my church offers once a month.
My favorite part of working at Walsworth is that you become like a family.
