Pam Gillette
Shipping/Mailroom- Fulton, Missouri
I started in the mailroom as a sorter and bindery as a bindery helper in March 1998.
Day to day, I have a very busy position. As a sorter in the mailroom, I hand-label envelopes for Canadian and International shipments, manually place inserts into magazines and send postage and box magazines. As a bindery helper in the bindery, I take products off the end of the line from the perfect and stitch binders and run them through the polybag and bellyband machines.
I have been in the printing industry and at Walsworth the same amount of time – 24 years!
I was welcomed into the printing operation in Fulton when it was The Ovid Bell Press. I needed a job due to my previous employer shutting down, and people I knew who worked here helped get me on here.
The thing I love most about my job is the people I get to work with.
If I had a personalized coffee mug at work, I would want it to have a picture of my grandbaby, Booga.
A fun fact about me is I love to make people laugh.
Outside of my workplace, I love to play cards, especially Spades and 5000 Rummy. I also enjoy gardening and flowers.
I am a native mid-Missourian, from the city of Columbia. I was one of nine children, with four brothers and four sisters. Now, I have one daughter and one grandchild, and I love to spend time with them.
I feel Walsworth has contributed to my future as well as the future of my family and community of Fulton by providing good jobs to the people here.
I like to give back to my community by donating to the local fire department.
My favorite memories of working here were when John Bell would walk by and read the silly words on my T-shirts and he would get tickled at them.
