Yearbook Sales Intern
As a copywriting intern, I am helping to create resources like blogs, coverage starters, Idea File Magazine and Possibilities. I get to learn how words are used in marketing communications through hands-on projects with an amazing team.
I get to work on a variety of cool projects every day. I could be looking through and organizing hundreds of books in the morning and spend the afternoon researching and writing blogs for yearbook editors and advisers. Every day is something new.
What brought me to Walsworth was how I fell in love with the energy of creating yearbooks in high school. Every year is a fresh start and there is a new story to be told. There is something magical about getting to put that story into words and pictures, sharing it with your community now and becoming the history teller for years to come.
The best part of this job is getting to see cool yearbooks from all over the country! It’s really sweet to see how much thought and effort schools are putting into their books.
The thing that makes me want to come to work every day is getting to work on so many fun and different projects and that everyone here is so kind.
I grew up in Overland Park with my mom, dad and younger sister. We have an adorable Labrador-mix named Maizy.
Some of my hobbies outside of work include sewing, nail art and going on walks.
Getting to work for Walsworth has been an amazing opportunity for me. I am currently pursuing a journalism and communication degree and working here has shown me some of the ways I would be able to use it.
My favorite memory working at Walsworth has been assisting with the Possibilities selections. I got to meet Jim Jordan, Sabrina Schmitz and Stephanie Streicher and it was all hands on deck going through hundreds of books from all over the country.
