Kim Zahner, Commercial Electronic Support Supervisor
Describe what you do at Walsworth.
I have been a support supervisor for majority of my career at Walsworth. I supervise three different Commercial departments – Entry, Computer Support and PrePress. Each department offers important roles in producing the final print project. I also supervise within our manufacturing departments on scheduled weekends and have done this for the past nine years.

What made you start working at Walsworth?
College wasn’t financially obtainable after I graduated high school, so I went to work.
Do you have family who works here?
No immediate family as of now, but I used to have aunts, uncles and cousins.
What is the coolest thing you get to do at work?
Be a part of a book being produced from start to finish!
What is your favorite work story to tell? One that you will never forget.
I had taken a support call and the customer shared in detail the back story about the book he was producing. What he shared personally helped me that day. There is always someone out there that has a fight bigger than your own!
What makes you want to come to work every day?
I feel like I know my job and I like to help people.
What would you be doing if you were not at work?
Working around my home, I like to stay busy.
If you were meeting a new customer and are working on a project for them, what would you like them to know about you?
That I am helpful.

What is one piece of advice you’d give to a person who is looking for help on how to deal with our current times, with regard to your area of expertise?
Don’t be difficult and don’t be afraid to make changes. Change leads to growth and development that will further a career and yourself personally!
